Relocation to Augusta, Ga?

I’m planning on relocating to Augusta, Ga soon. My problem I won’t have a place to stay or a job nailed down before I get there. I do have the means to rent an apartment, but I wonder if anyone will rent from being that I don’t have a job in the area yet. So I’m wondering is there any affordable short stay hotels or apartments in the area? Any help or advice on this or just general info on Augusta would be great!
